About the role

The CRM Associate will facilitate efforts to capture, organize, use, and analyze constituent data to achieve Tunnel to Towers’ organizational objectives. This role maintains the daily operation of Tunnel to Towers’ database/CRM system and tracks collaborative projects including marketing, public information, outreach, and general constituent relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily data availability and quality within the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with technical resources and management on strategic initiatives.
  • Manage administrative configuration, reporting, dashboards, and data quality for relational databases.
  • Administer cloud-based CRM systems, including security, backups, data imports/exports, and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain reports for prospect and constituent management, donor cultivation, and nonprofit fundraising processes.
  • Support project management and grant management software systems for Tunnel to Towers’ programs and initiatives.
  • Translate end-user needs into effective queries and reports.
  • Provide strong customer service to front-line staff of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Liaise with teams for online forms and integrations using general web concepts.
  • Participate in special events such as the NYC Tunnel to Towers Run, golf outings, and other fundraising events as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of nonprofit technology experience, or equivalent background.
  • Database management skills with contemporary relational databases.
  • Proficiency in CRM administration, including prospect/constituent management, data quality, and report development.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising processes, donor cultivation, marketing, and related financial requirements.
  • Experience with project management and grant management software systems.
  • Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including shortcuts, formulas, sorting/filtering, charts/graphs, and pivot tables.
  • Proficiency in primary office software packages (MS Excel, Access, Outlook, Active Directory).
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks proactively while meeting deadlines.
  • Comfort translating between end-user needs and database output.
  • Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.

Working Conditions

Special working conditions may include changes in days worked, shift hours, or working environments (e.g., outdoors) when participating in events such as the NYC Tunnel to Towers Run, golf outings, and other fundraising activities.
