Critical Operations Engineer II (Swing)

IDR is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer II to join one of our top clients in Chicago, IL. This role is within the data center industry, focusing on electrical and mechanical infrastructure to ensure operational excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and supporting electrical and mechanical systems in a critical data center environment. Collaborate across operations, engineering, and customer teams to ensure seamless operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support electrical and mechanical systems in a critical data center environment
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer teams to ensure seamless operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to power, cooling, and fire safety systems
• Support fire protection systems, BMS, PLC controls, and telecommunications infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with safety standards such as NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and fire life safety requirements

Pay

$38–$40 per hour
