Position Overview

The Critical Operations Engineer II will provide expert technical support and operational management of electrical, mechanical, and safety systems in a critical facility environment. They will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical distribution, HVAC, fire safety, and data cabling infrastructure. The role ensures compliance with industry safety standards and building codes, including NFPA and NEC regulations. The engineer will monitor and analyze system data to proactively identify potential issues and optimize system performance. Additionally, they will support facility safety and emergency procedures, ensuring high standards of industrial safety and protocol adherence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience installing, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting large commercial and industrial systems including chillers, HVAC, generator systems, and electrical distribution.
  • Expert understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in critical facilities, including transformers, PLCs, UPS systems, and fire safety systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, and building codes related to fire life safety.
  • Prior experience in fiber optics, cabling infrastructure, and industrial safety practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues rapidly and accurately.
