Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse - Full Time - Ground, Variable - Atlantic Mobile Health
About the role
Responsible for providing patient care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice utilizing critical thinking skills to manage ill or injured patients during transport between healthcare facilities. Routinely transports patients who are unstable and in critical condition, to facilities where a higher level of care can be given.
Principal Accountabilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
- Assumes responsibility for total patient care when in the best interest of the patient's needs.
- Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
- Conveys all pertinent information regarding the patient to the receiving facility.
- Interprets and implements physician's transport orders.
- Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
- Maintains certifications and skills as required by both state and local authorities.
- Makes decisions about patient care based on assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation.
- Participates in CQI for the Critical Care Transport Program.
- Participates in training related to the Critical Care Transport Program.
- Maintains patient's rights and confidentiality.
- Maintains certifications and skills as required by both state and local authorities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Education Program
- Current NJ state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Multistate RN able to work in NJ
- 3+ years of experience in Nursing in ICU or ED setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License, unrestricted driving record
- E/MICN/CTRN/CFRN certification (required within 1 year of hire date)
- NRP PHTLS, TNCC, or ATCN certification
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- EMT, Paramedic, or MICN
- CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, TNCC, or ATCN
Hourly Range
Hourly Range: 48.00 - 84.50 / hr.

About Atlantic Mobile Health
At Atlantic Mobile Health, we are dedicated to providing the fastest air and ground medical transportation services. We offer immediate and emergent response to municipalities and facilities, as well as non-emergency transportation for patients who need stretcher transportation.
