Job Summary

Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values. Additionally, under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, the patient care associate III performs various duties to assist in the care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care with minimal supervision and within established policies
• Accurately check and record vital signs
• Collect specimens as directed
• Promptly answer call lights and provide necessary assistance in a timely manner
• Report patient changes, problems, complaints or requests to appropriate personnel
• Auxiliary in the maintenance of equipment
• Perform Electrocardiogram (ECG)
• Perform Phlebotomy

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED
• Experience: Previous experience preferred
