Critical Care Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Responsibilities

• Deliver the most up-to-date, comprehensive care in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and sleep medicine.
• Work in a combined medical and surgical ICU with a total of 24 beds at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono ICU.
• Experience 12 shifts per month of coverage, typically 12 hours per shift, with flexibility for 8- or 10-hour shifts.
• Work 3 or 4 days consecutively and be flexible for day vs night coverage.
• Take part in procedures including central lines, arterial lines, dialysis lines, intubations, and be trained by the Lehigh Valley Physician team.
• Work closely with physicians for training and ensure even rotation of weekends and holidays.
• Take call for the team, which is managed by the physicians.

Qualifications

• Highly experienced clinicians in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine.
• Collaborative and innovative critical care clinicians.
• Experience working in a combined medical and surgical ICU setting.
• Familiarity with and ability to train on procedures including central lines, arterial lines, dialysis lines, intubations.

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage flexible schedules and work effectively with a team.
• Proficiency in performing procedures including central lines, arterial lines, dialysis lines, intubations.
