Critical Care Paramedic
Shift
Shift: 12 hours per shift, Day Shift 0600-1800

Responsibilities
- Provides primary patient care activities on transports approved within scope of practice as defined by EMS Medical Director.
- Affirms, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates the appropriate level of patient care according to scope of practice, EMS Protocols, department policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate.
- Operates emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance with established safety standards.
- Maintains the unit in a constant state of readiness and completes medication, supplies, and equipment inventories each shift, restocking as needed.
- Ensures patient and departmental documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Licensed Paramedic (PARA)
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO)

Qualifications
- Associate [Preferred]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
- Field Of Study of Science in health-related field.
- Successful completion of UMBC, University of Florida, AdventHealth EMS Critical Care Paramedic curriculum, or AdventHealth University Critical Care Paramedic curriculum OR Critical Care Paramedic certification (CCEMT-P, CICP, UF CCP, FP-C, CCP-C).
- 1+ advanced life support transport experience.
- 3+ critical care transport experience.
- 5+ advanced life support transport experience [Preferred]
- 5+ driving passenger vehicles [Required]
Skills
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
