Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Job Requirements

UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a full-time employed position available for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their practice located in Bel Air, MD.

APP Job Specifics

• Manages and treats hospital-based patients, predominantly in the IMC but occasionally covers in the ICU.
• Member of the critical care team focusing on IMC level patients with high medical complexity.
• Expected to be comfortable with higher acuity patient care and handle procedures such as central lines and intubations with on-site physician support.
• Nurse Practitioners must be acute care certified. Provider experience, especially in critical care, is highly preferred.

Work Experience & Education & Training

• Master of Science degree from an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
• National certification in the area specialty and licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• NPI number, DEA, and CDS required.
• Credentialing through the Maryland Board and the health system for advanced practice skills.
