Critical Care EMS Instructor

About the role

The Critical Care EMS Instructor is responsible for instructing various “merit” badge EMS courses depending on certification including: ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC. The position will interact with pre-hospital providers (EMT-paramedics) as well as in-hospital providers (physicians, residents, nurses, other allied health, etc.). The position will assist the EMS Education Division as needed with the development and delivery of education.

Responsibilities

• Instruct various “merit” badge EMS courses depending on certification including: ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC.
• Interact with pre-hospital providers (EMT-paramedics) as well as in-hospital providers (physicians, residents, nurses, other allied health, etc.).
• Aid the EMS Education Division with the development and delivery of education.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years’ work experience in a hospital critical care or EMS setting.
• Current Minnesota or Wisconsin nurse certification/licensure required or paramedic.
• One of the following instructor certifications- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.

Education: Associates degree in any field.
