Responsibilities
- Providing academic guidance, support, and motivation to students
- Applying teaching methodologies to facilitate student learning and achievement of outcomes
- Participating in curriculum assessment, continuous improvement, and update of course materials
- Engaging in scholarly activities and professional development
- Utilizing innovative technologies, such as Simulation and Innovation Labs, to enhance learning
- In clinical settings, overseeing student performance, clarifying expectations, and ensuring safe, effective patient care
- Offering timely feedback on clinical performance and assessments
Qualifications and skills
- Master's degree in nursing and valid professional nurse licensure
- Minimum of two years' direct patient care experience as a registered nurse and at least one year in the teaching field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online learning management systems
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, including state, federal, and local laws, as well as nursing board requirements
Schedule
Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week. Role encompasses both classroom and clinical instruction, with responsibilities for clinical oversight and student evaluation.
