About the Role
As a Full-time Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), you will join an established, comprehensive Critical Care team with Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive medical care to critically ill adult patients under physician supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, develop and implement treatment plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, participate in daily rounds and conferences
- Educate patients and families
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in intubation, central line placement, arterial line management, and thoracentesis
Requirements
- Active or eligible license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Nevada
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Proficiency in intubation, central line placement, arterial line management, and thoracentesis
- Advanced knowledge of critical care medicine, including hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and shock management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
