Crisis Program, Senior Manager
This position is eligible for a $9,000 sign-on bonus and a $2,250 retention bonus.
Summary/Objective
Under the supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer, the Crisis Program Senior Manager is responsible for administering the programmatic operations, including project/program development, contract and fee management, overall crisis staff supervision, program monitoring and reporting, and the development of new program opportunities. Additionally, the incumbent promotes the mission, provides vision, and dictates the future of the crisis program. The role ensures the operations of the 24/7 Crisis Call Center, Mobile Youth Crisis Response Program, and Crisis Bed Stabilization Program (CBSP) remain operational at all times to serve high-risk populations with safety concerns. The incumbent is responsible for rapid responses and decision-making related to high-risk situations involving children and youth.
Responsibilities
Program Administration
- Provides direct supervision of Crisis Clinical Coordinators and Call Center Supervisor to ensure crisis services are provided with clinical integrity, prioritizing safety, risk factors, and best practices in 24/7 crisis intervention.
- Ensures program policies, procedures, and expectations are met.
- Provides direct supervision of Crisis Bed Stabilization Coordinator/Therapist to ensure the Crisis Bed Stabilization Program is operational at all times, ensuring client safety, minimizing risk factors, and maintaining care integrity.
- Engages in planning and program conception, including the development of other 24/7 and risk-preventative services to keep children and families safe in the community.
- Implements, supports, and oversees high-intensity services provided in subprograms established under the umbrella of crisis services, supporting youth at high to moderate risk for suicide, harm to others, significant instability following traumatic events, or at risk of removal from their home environment due to behavioral dynamics.
- Coordinates expedited community crisis responses as needed due to emergency traumatic/loss events impacting youth in Delaware.
- Maintains monthly data and completes monthly and quarterly reporting documentation about statewide crisis services and subprograms.
- Oversees case management and clinical documentation processes with Clinical Coordinators to establish procedures, ensuring rapid completion of crisis documentation, monitoring chart completeness, and maintaining case confidentiality.
- Collaborates with community partners such as schools, emergency departments, psychiatric inpatient facilities, pediatric offices, police departments, and youth mental health service programs to address needs or concerns related to crisis intervention services.
- Ensures program compliance with agency and accreditation standards.
- Ensures all contract goals and objectives pertinent to the program are met.
- Establishes and maintains effective recruitment processes for personnel.
Clinical Oversight
- Provides direct supervision and clinical oversight of documentation for crisis clinicians, subprogram clinicians, and call center clinicians as needed when direct supervisors are unavailable or for licensure purposes.
- Provides direct supervision of Crisis Clinical Coordinators and Crisis Bed Stabilization Coordinator/Therapist, assisting them in developing leadership and clinical supervisory skills.
- Intervenes daily in complex situations requiring additional clinical judgment to determine a path forward to keep children and others safe.
- Participates in the Clinical On-Call Supervisor Rotation.
- Provides training related to best practices in youth suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention.

Requirements
- Master’s Degree qualifying for licensure in Delaware as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist.
- Delaware Clinical Licensure (social work, psychology, counseling).
- Minimum of 7 years post-licensure clinical experience, preferably within an evidence-based or evidence-informed child and family interventions program.
- Minimum of 5 years post-licensure supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of education/training in suicide risk prevention and intervention.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Approved Clinical Supervisor designation.
- 12 hours of Clinical Supervision training.

Work Environment
- Office-based, with partial telecommuting available upon approval.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May be requested to lift up to 15 pounds periodically.
- Travel required between sites as needed for supervision, meetings, etc.
