Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care services to patients admitted or transferred to the assigned unit, handling a variety of diagnoses.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Function as a staff RN on general floors, MICU, CCU, CV ICU, PICU, SICU, NSCU, IMSU, ED, or other designated areas during high‑acuity or crisis situations.
• Deliver age‑appropriate care for patients ranging from newborns to adults.
• Serve as a member of the Rapid Response Team.
• Work a schedule that includes 11 out of every 12 weekends.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of growth and development principles and the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.
• Professional level of nursing practice and theory, typically obtained by graduating from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
• 1–2 years of critical‑care experience in an acute healthcare facility within the past 3 years.
• Completion of Critical Care Classes Level I and II, or successful completion of an equivalent competency.
• Strong interpersonal skills to comfort patients and families, communicate effectively with care providers, and instruct in self‑care/home‑care procedures.
• Analytical ability to assess physical, psychological, and social needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate responses to interventions.
• Flexibility and prioritization skills to work autonomously.
• Current ACLS certification.

Pay

• Hourly rate: $37.05 – $54.54, based on years of licensure.
• Night shift differential: $4.00 per hour.
• Weekend premium: 40%.
