About the role

The Behavioral Health Crisis Center is a 24/7 facility serving adults 18 years and older. It includes a walk-in Brief Intervention Clinic and a secure Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU).

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center.
  • Work in a variety of settings and via face-to-face contact or telehealth (video or telephonic).
  • Assess and provide unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises.
  • Divert individuals from jail, emergency departments, and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings to an appropriate least restrictive treatment setting.
  • Work per-diem across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts based on departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, OR be eligible for a limited license and obtain it within three (3) months of hire.
  • Thorough working knowledge of practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, electronic health record, and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and bridge language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Master Social Worker preferred.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.

Pay

$27.49 - $36.44 per hour, with additional compensation options available.

Schedule

This position is per-diem offering availability across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts based on departmental needs.
