Crisis Cares Connection (3C) Coordinator
Primary Function
The Department of Psychology at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Northern Illinois University (NIU), invites applications for the position of Crisis Cares Connection Coordinator with the Crisis Cares Connection (3C) Team. Under the direction of the Deputy of the Office of Research and Child Well-being and the direct supervision of the Director of the Crisis Cares Connection (3C) Manager, the Coordinator monitors psychiatric crisis cases, coordinates system responses, and supports caseworkers and administrators in accessing psychiatric care. The coordinator applies CQI, the program fidelity model, and Implementation Science principles in daily operations, supports problem-solving, referral navigation, and documents program activities to inform continuous quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or a field related to the position from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) years of related experience in child welfare, mental health, or crisis programs with cross-system coordination.
Background Check
This is a security-sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University and IDCFS will conduct a pre-employment background check, which includes finger printing, state police check, FBI, and child abuse and neglect (CANTS) background check.
