Overview
ViaPath is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The Intelligence Analyst will provide direct support to the customer staff, assisting with investigations and developing actionable intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to establish trends within the facility and potential areas of interest
- Aid facility investigations using specialized software for data mining and link analysis
- Leverage various database query languages (SSMS, Python) to interact with data
- Review and listen to offender telephone calls
- Develop a fundamental understanding of facility operations, policies, and data sources
- Understand investigative and intelligence processes, including the intelligence cycle
- Proactively develop intelligence to support facility objectives and missions
- Submit detailed reports on intelligence findings
- Provide guidance and training to facility staff
- Fulfill requests for call recordings or other related data as authorized
- Participate in court or administrative hearings as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail
- Develop expertise in areas such as OSINT, human trafficking, digital forensics, criminal organizations, fraud, probation and parole, etc.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Intelligence, or a Business-related field, or equivalent years of related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting analysis aligned with the intelligence cycle, including planning, collection, organization, analysis, reporting, and feedback integration
- At least 2 years of substantial criminal investigative experience
- Ability to develop a fundamental understanding of intelligence processes in a correctional environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Suite
- Ability to learn ViaPath and third-party software applications within the first six months of hire
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience with SSMS and Python preferred
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Fluency in English, with Spanish fluency desired
- Experience or expertise in OSINT, human trafficking, digital forensics, criminal organizations, fraud, probation and parole preferred
