Overview

ViaPath is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The Intelligence Analyst will provide direct support to the customer staff, assisting with investigations and developing actionable intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data to establish trends within the facility and potential areas of interest
  • Aid facility investigations using specialized software for data mining and link analysis
  • Leverage various database query languages (SSMS, Python) to interact with data
  • Review and listen to offender telephone calls
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of facility operations, policies, and data sources
  • Understand investigative and intelligence processes, including the intelligence cycle
  • Proactively develop intelligence to support facility objectives and missions
  • Submit detailed reports on intelligence findings
  • Provide guidance and training to facility staff
  • Fulfill requests for call recordings or other related data as authorized
  • Participate in court or administrative hearings as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail
  • Develop expertise in areas such as OSINT, human trafficking, digital forensics, criminal organizations, fraud, probation and parole, etc.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Intelligence, or a Business-related field, or equivalent years of related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting analysis aligned with the intelligence cycle, including planning, collection, organization, analysis, reporting, and feedback integration
  • At least 2 years of substantial criminal investigative experience
  • Ability to develop a fundamental understanding of intelligence processes in a correctional environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to learn ViaPath and third-party software applications within the first six months of hire
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with SSMS and Python preferred
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • Fluency in English, with Spanish fluency desired
  • Experience or expertise in OSINT, human trafficking, digital forensics, criminal organizations, fraud, probation and parole preferred
