We are seeking an organized, proactive paralegal to support our criminal defense attorneys and help clients navigate difficult, high-stakes matters with care and professionalism. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, manages competing priorities well, and takes pride in accurate, dependable work.

Qualifications

• Prior paralegal or legal-assistant experience preferred
• Criminal defense or Virginia court experience is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and deadline management
• Comfort working with case-management, document-management, and electronic-filing systems
• Sound judgment and the ability to protect confidential information

Responsibilities

• Organize case files, calendars, deadlines, discovery, and evidence
• Prepare routine correspondence, pleadings, and filing materials under attorney direction
• Assist with court filings and coordinate hearings, meetings, and trial preparation
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Support legal and factual research and maintain accurate case records
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to keep matters moving efficiently
