Criminal Defense Attorney

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on their legal rights in matters and draws up legal documents about their case.
• Attends pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advises clients following each hearing about the best strategies.
• Manages court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research.
• Analyzes probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Manages the workload of cases.
• Provides legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits.
• Accrues additional evidence to support clients' cases or for arguments against the prosecution's charges.
• Prepares clients for depositions; determines essential goals of case strategy, and gathers information from witnesses and important experts that support clients' positions.

Qualifications

• Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
• A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with their fellow associates.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber.

Pay

Pay Range: $80,000-$120,000 annual salary. Pay range may be exceeded based on experience on a case-by-case basis.
