Job Details

  • Responsibilities:
    • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for the prosecution against defendants in criminal cases.
    • Conduct legal research to gather relevant information for cases, analyze legal data, and interpret laws, regulations, and rulings.
    • Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, depositions, pleadings, appeals, and motions.
    • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, mediate disputes, and advise clients on their legal rights.
    • Examine legal data to determine the advisability of defending lawsuits.
    • Manage and oversee various cases from inception through resolution, ensuring all proceedings are conducted timely and efficiently.
    • Participate in hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and client meetings.
    • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
    • Guide clients through the legal process, explaining the law, their rights, and their options.
    • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and other parties involved in each case.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and legislation in criminal law and propose new ideas to improve the efficiency of our legal services.
  • Qualifications:
    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Criminal Defense Attorney or similar role.
    • Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
    • Proven experience in court trials, hearings, and depositions.
    • Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and drafting legal documents.
    • Knowledge of criminal law, rules of evidence, and procedural law.
    • Excellent negotiation, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
    • Bilingual ability is a must.
    • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
    • High ethical standards and professionalism.
