Crew Member - Tree Care Class C Driver

About the role

As a Groundsperson/Driver on SavATree’s General Tree Care Team, you’ll work outside visiting beautiful properties in your community, providing high-quality tree care to maintain and preserve clients’ landscapes. The team applies expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to ensure the health and well-being of each client’s landscape while safely transporting equipment.

This position reports daily to the office in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a General Tree Care crew to deliver high-quality tree care services
• Perform pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree care tasks
• Safely operate equipment and perform assigned job tasks while providing excellent client service

Requirements

• Experience with proper pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamentals
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species, with working knowledge of each species’ characteristics
• Experience with tree care safety standards
• Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation
• Valid U.S. Driver’s license
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck) and stump grinders
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.

Pay

Up to $30 per hour, based on experience.
