About the Role
We are looking to expand our construction field team with a qualified and motivated Commercial Pool Construction Crew Member. Our crew members are responsible for a wide range of hands-on duties at active commercial construction job sites. This position offers the opportunity to advance into an Assistant Foreman or Foreman role depending on experience, leadership ability, and construction knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of commercial pool construction projects
- Perform excavation, grading, backfilling, and installation of stone bases
- Operate small to mid-size construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Support structural concrete work including forming, rebar installation, and concrete placement
- Assist with installation of commercial pool plumbing systems
- Install and repair PVC Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 piping up to 14” diameter
- Read and follow construction plans, layouts, and job specifications
- Maintain safe and clean construction job sites in compliance with OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Previous commercial construction crew member experience required
- Previous pool construction, pool service, or aquatic facility experience preferred but not required
- Experience with excavation, trenching, backfill, and site preparation
- Knowledge of structural concrete including forming, rebar, and concrete pours
- Experience operating construction equipment and power tools
- Working knowledge of PVC plumbing systems, including Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 pipe installation
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on active construction sites
Location
- 100% field-based on active commercial construction job sites
- Approximately 75% of projects require travel and are located more than one hour from an employee’s residence
- Typical project locations are within a 5-hour radius of our office, with the average travel distance ranging between 2-3 hours
- Local projects are compensated for onsite working hours only
- Travel projects include jobs requiring overnight stays and offer single room occupancy hotel room paid by the company, weekly per diem, and travel bonuses
- Additional compensation is available for employees who are able to work full-time on remote travel projects
Crew Members must be capable of traveling to and from all assigned job sites, including overnight travel projects, by their own means of transportation. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to meet construction project scheduling demands.
