About the role
Bars & Recreation is seeking energetic, hardworking, positive, and committed individuals to join our team as Crew Members or Bartenders. This position involves serving as the primary hospitality ambassadors for each Bars & Recreation brand’s activity-based experiences, ensuring guests enjoy fun, safe, and memorable visits.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through each establishment’s offerings.
- Make personal connections with guests and train them in specific activities.
- Take food/drink orders, run orders to/from bars and kitchens, and deliver food and beverages to guests.
- Assist with Custom Events and market special offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organize the establishment.
- Perform regular table touches and section host duties.
- Operate facility-related technologies and perform regular bussing tasks.
- Carry and use power tools, and clean and maintain the facility.
- Enforce safety rules and assist with children’s activities.
- Accurately test and label sanitation products.
- Facilitate activities for children at allowed establishments during specific hours.
- Operate a point-of-sale system and conduct credit card transactions.
- Carry up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work at least two shifts per week, one being a Saturday shift.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Some hospitality, food/beverage service, or retail experience.
- Experience with similar activity host roles or bartending in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to complete an online Responsible Beverage Server Course and submit proof of completion.
- Ability to hold and speak clearly into a microphone in front of small and large groups.
- Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and accurately conduct credit card transactions.
- Ability to handle fast-paced shifts and be standing for 4-10 hours.
- Comfortable using power tools including drills.
- Comfortable carrying, using, and standing on a 6-foot ladder.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow the Bars & Recreation Employee Handbook.

Pay
Crew members receive a starting base rate plus share of the bi-weekly Tip Pool.
Schedule
This position is classified as a Tier 1 On-site Employee. Crew members rotate around the various facilities to support the overall team as needed. Reliable transportation is required. Full and open availability on Saturdays is required for scheduling purposes. Additional Thursday and Friday availability is preferred.
