Crew Leader

About the role

Crew Leader 1 leads teams performing industrial hydroblasting services, vacuum hose operations, and truck operations safely and efficiently. The position involves operating and maintaining various pieces of equipment and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducts team meetings to discuss best practices and ongoing expectations.
• Supervises and coaches employees, providing regular feedback.
• Timely completes and approves sales tickets, timesheets, and time off requests.
• Completes corrective actions as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Supervises personnel and equipment for successful completion of jobs, including:
• Leading wet and dry vacuum truck operations and hydroblaster operations.
• Maintaining and caring for vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
• Completing DOT paperwork and daily work tickets accurately.
• Reporting potential issues or concerns to management.
• Performing safety procedures such as JSA's, lockout/tag out, confined space entry, housekeeping, and company-specific procedures.
• Repairing equipment on-site when necessary.
• Leading small groups of personnel on specific qualified jobs.
• Ensuring tasks are completed safely and with high quality.
• Arrives at the office or job site on time and prepared to work.
• Adheres to company policies and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Attends all safety and health training as required.
• Travel is required, often for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Two years of verifiable industrial hydroblasting and vacuum truck operation experience.
• A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must complete all pre and post-training, including safety, new hire, and regulatory training.
• Must pass a drug test and background and motor vehicle checks.
• Must have a valid State-issued Commercial Driver’s License with a Tanker Endorsement/Class A or B, and DOT Health Card.
