Responsibilities
- Inspect cleanouts to ensure standards are met.
- Give breaks on lines as needed, including developing plans to minimize the need for crew leaders to give breaks.
- Help the Supervisor with quality problems by effectively leading a 5 Whys root cause investigation.
- Handle maintenance issues and have a plan for quick restarts.
- Fill in for the Supervisor when absent.
- Blender Crewleader responsibilities:
- Pump resin from rail cars into resin silos (only on second and third shifts).
- Fill in for Unit Operators when absent and unable to get someone to come in early.
- Develop plans to use the team to cover more than one line during blender loading.
- Assist with housekeeping, ensuring both daily and shift housekeeping assignments are met, and maintaining 5S standards.
- Plan and lead huddle meetings, conducting daily quality and safety walkthroughs, and providing immediate directions to the team.
- Stay updated on the online status and operator activities and assignments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or two years minimum work experience at Haywood Company.
- A valid drivers license.
