Crew Chief - Primoris Pipeline

Job Overview

Primoris Pipeline has several new projects on the horizon, and they are seeking a Crew Chief with experience in oil and gas surveying. The ideal candidate should be comfortable leading a small team and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Leading a two or three-man crew to execute prelim corridor surveys, construction staking, as-built, boundary, title, and topographic surveys.
• Guiding and training crew members daily.
• Might work as a one-man crew alongside the construction team at times.
• Perform various types of construction stakeout projects.
• Carry out topographic surveys.
• Make mathematical calculations for field-checked data.
• Take accurate and clear notes in the field.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Know basic sources of measurement errors.
• Understand principles of monumentation, staking, and marking.
• Ensure the quality and performance of the survey crew.
• Maintain all company equipment.
• Be self-motivated, organized, and make good decisions.
• Accurately complete time and expense reports.
• Meet with clients and public landowners professionally.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changes.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of oil & gas survey experience.
• Solar experience is a plus.
• Expert-level knowledge of Trimble robotics.
• Laser scanning and drone experience is a plus.
• Safety-consciousness is mandatory.
• The ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 75 lbs is required.
• Honest, dependable, thorough, and strong work ethic.
• Self-driven with minimal supervision needed.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Twice-Immunized Credential (TWIC) card is preferred but not required.
