Crew Chief (Field Based)

About the role

Barrier Fence is a leading provider of industrial, commercial, and government fencing solutions across Texas. We are hiring a working Crew Chief to lead fencing installation crews in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside fencing installation crews onsite
• Set posts, hang fabric, install gates, and ensure quality workmanship
• Read and execute construction plans (paper and digital)
• Keep projects on schedule and crews productive
• Enforce jobsite safety standards
• Cookinate directly with contractors and site supervisors
• Solve problems in real time to keep jobs moving

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of hands-on fencing or construction experience
• Proven experience leading crews in the field
• Strong knowledge of fence installation (chain link, ornamental iron, crash-rated systems, gate operators)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Physically capable of working outdoors in Texas conditions
• Clean driving record, clean background, drug-free
• Strong work ethic and leadership presence

Preferred Experience

• Commercial, industrial, or government project experience
• Experience managing multi-person crews onsite
• Based within driving distance of Georgetown, TX (office visits approximately 25% of time)
