Daily Responsibilities
- Covers workload requirements with Supervisors.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
- Maintains work areas, buildings, ground support equipment, and materials in safe, clean, and operable condition.
- Conducts Team Meetings with Supervisor.
- Oversees employee activities and documents as required.
- Communicates aircraft discrepancies with Supervisors, customer representatives, and employees.
- Provides technical guidance and expertise in functional area up to and including using complex manuals and blueprints.
- Mentors, trains, and provides performance feedback.
- Provides input on disciplinary actions, performance management programs, and selection process.
- Complies with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participates in 5-S activities.
- Provides input on accident investigations and associated paperwork.
- Makes sure accurate data is collected on employees in assigned work area.
- Makes sure routine task cards and N/R budgets are monitored and approved.
- Estimates man-hours and prepares time estimates.
- Completes/approves all paperwork prior to turnover to Quality Control/Quality Assurance for final release.
- May work outside and on aircraft to support business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years’ practical aircraft maintenance experience.
- Possess an FAA A&P license OR possess the “A” license.
- Thorough knowledge in functional area as evidenced through previous experience and skill.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Plan and organize tasks; prioritize, assign, and coordinate work.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection/maintenance procedures in functional area.
- Advanced knowledge of pertinent reference materials.
- Ability to work shift unsupervised within prescribed framework of authority.
- Engine run and taxi qualifications may be required.
- Fuel farm qualifications may be required.
- Enjoy working on commercial aircraft and growing professionally.
- Basic PC (computer) skills.
