Cremeria Clerk ELR

About the role

The Cremeria Clerk's role is to assist and support the Cremeria Department by provide a high level of customer service and practice safe food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cremeria products are sliced and available
• Product pricing
• Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements
• Ensures great customer service
• Keeps cremeria displays clean and presentable
• Store cleaning supplies properly
• Advertising department products
• Responsible for receiving, unloading, stocking, filling, and rotating merchandise
• Verifies cases, coolers, and refrigerators temperatures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 1+ years meat department experience

Physical demands and work conditions

• Regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls
• Vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Work environment typical of an office and retail store
• Noise level ranges from quiet to loud
• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
• Walk and work in Freezer and Refrigerator Cooler as needed throughout the day
