About the Role

The Crematory Operator will oversee the proper handling and processing of deceased individuals' remains, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Respectfully care for the deceased during the cremation process
• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and accurate
• Comply with professional, municipal, state/provincial, and federal regulations regarding cremation
• Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and surrounding areas
• Communicate effectively with clients and management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a diploma training program in funeral service or mortuary science
• Company and state/province certification to cremate human remains
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Previous customer service experience is an asset
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various environments

Qualifications

Pay and Schedule

• Pay range: $22.50 - $27.50 per hour
• Working hours may vary, including weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays
