About the Role
The Crematory Operator will oversee the proper handling and processing of deceased individuals' remains, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Respectfully care for the deceased during the cremation process
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and accurate
- Comply with professional, municipal, state/provincial, and federal regulations regarding cremation
- Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and surrounding areas
- Communicate effectively with clients and management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a diploma training program in funeral service or mortuary science
- Company and state/province certification to cremate human remains
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various environments
Qualifications

Pay and Schedule
- Pay range: $22.50 - $27.50 per hour
