Credit Representative

About the role

The CREDIT REPRESENTATIVE (AR SPECIALIST) will handle accounts receivable for a selected group of customers, focusing on current and past due accounts. The role involves building relationships with customers and store personnel, assessing creditworthiness, managing credit limits, overseeing payments, handling disputes, processing bond and lien claims, and communicating effectively to minimize potential legal risks.

Responsibilities

• Discuss account status and construction projects with customers and store personnel
• Determine credit worthiness and manage credit limits
• Oversight of payment posting
• Maintain account integrity and collect past due amounts
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Monitor and report on any issues not aligned with the company's operations

Qualifications

• Education in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in Customer Service, particularly in Collections or AR
• Knowledge of Accounting and Construction
• Skills in Research, Excel, Word, Outlook
• Proven leadership and decision-making abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Professional background in Customer Service or CS Management
• Collections and AR experience
