About the role
The Credit Recovery Teacher position at JW North High School within Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is a temporary opportunity designed to support students in catching up on missed credits.
Responsibilities
- Teach credit recovery courses aligned with state standards
- Work with English Learners to provide additional support
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop comprehensive lesson plans
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements / Qualifications
- California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Teaching Credential with English Learner Certification

- Three (3) current letters of recommendation
- Copies of all current credentials held, or evidence of qualifying
- Copies of transcripts with degree(s) posted
- Placement on the July 1, 2025 Teacher Salary Schedule: One year of step credit for each year of previous experience equivalent to public school experience, not to exceed 14 years. Salary range: $74,796-$144,274 (Reflects a 100% Contract) plus health, dental, vision, life insurance and Employee Assistance Program
