Duties And Responsibilities
- Gathers and reviews financial data to evaluate potential clients' creditworthiness and offers alternative lending solutions.
- May specialize in areas such as commercial real estate or agriculture, depending on local market needs.
- Manages lending authority within specified limits and may submit larger-risk loans for further approval based on regional directives.
- Makes lending decisions and monitors loan performance to ensure compliance with Bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Reviews and approves credit application packages and collateral documents for accuracy and adherence to policy.
- Determines the strength and weaknesses of clients' credit to set loan terms.
- Maintains an overview of loan portfolios, addressing upcoming or overdue payments and taking action to collect and minimize losses.
- Generates routine and ad hoc reports and provides necessary documentation for compliance reviews and audits.
- Provides detailed analysis on secured loans, particularly those involving assets like accounts receivable and inventory (ABL).
- Works proactively to reduce the bank's risks on ABL lines of credit by developing and implementing credit administration frameworks.
- Maintains and monitors ABL lines of credit after approval, ensuring timely collection of financial information and verifying its accuracy.
- Assists account officers, assistant relationship managers, and portfolio managers in providing underwriting information for renewing or increasing ABL lines of credit.
- Develops and implements internal loan review capabilities, providing detailed feedback on loans reviewed.
- Prepares quarterly internal loan review summaries for the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Operating Officer.
- Familiarizes oneself with relevant compliance regulations and policies and ensures compliance with them.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in financial analysis, banking, or a related field.
- Excellent understanding of finance, credit administration, critical ratios, and forecasting, demonstrated through previous experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of collateral instruments and familiarity with RMA, nCino, and Moody training is beneficial.
Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions
- Sustained standing and sitting.
- Frequent use of a computer, including typing or sustained attention to a monitor.
- Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
- Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low-level noise.
