Mercor is recruiting Credit Experts based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, and Australia for a research project with a leading foundational model AI lab. The work focuses on using real-world credit analysis and financial reasoning to support the training and improvement of advanced AI systems. This is a fully remote and flexible opportunity for professionals who want to apply their industry knowledge outside traditional finance workflows.
Role Overview
You will contribute to projects that evaluate and improve AI systems in areas such as credit analysis, financial modeling, liquidity assessment, covenant interpretation, distressed credit, and structured finance.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience working in credit
- Experience at a credit hedge fund, private credit firm, leveraged finance team, restructuring advisory firm, distressed debt fund, or similar organization
- Strong analytical and financial reasoning skills
- Ability to explain complex credit concepts clearly and accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week
- Based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, or Australia
Contract & Compensation
- Compensation of $100–$130 per hour
- Independent contractor position
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling
- Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
- Project duration may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance
