Credit and Collections Specialist

About the role

Constellation Search Group is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract position. This highly organized individual will oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables. They will collaborate with various stakeholders to manage the financial aspects efficiently. The role involves monitoring financial transactions, assisting in the financial close process, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Drive the collection of outstanding receivables and ensure accurate recording of customer payments.
• Resolve billing issues and maintain customer relationships to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Oversee the processing of financial transactions related to accounts receivable, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Assist in the monthly and annual financial close processes, focusing on accounts receivable.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with JD Edwards (ERP) is beneficial.
• Experience with accounts receivable processes is highly desirable.
