Credit Analyst Trainee

Responsibilities

• Investigate credit and financial information from various sources
• Spread and analyze financial statements using software
• Prepare summaries and opinions on creditworthiness
• Summarize conclusions in loan presentations
• Aid with market and industry analysis
• Support credit administration projects
• Maintain compliance with policies and regulations
• Develop credit policies
• Complete loan reviews and recommend risk grade changes
• Provide data entry support for loan analysis systems

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent training with some post-secondary education
• Experience in commercial credit is a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Maintain confidentiality
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial analysis software
• Demonstrate initiative, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail

Physical & Other Requirements

• Work involves computer use, report reading, sitting, lifting files up to 15 lbs.
• Occasional travel for consultations and meetings
• Handle sensitive information with professionalism
• Handle distractions with focus
