Credit Analyst- Sioux Falls (Full Time)

About the Role

CorTrust Bank is seeking a Full-Time Credit Analyst in our Sioux Falls community. The Credit Analyst supports our lending operations by working with a diversified portfolio of loan types and loan requests for current and potential borrowers. They gather and analyze financial data to determine the advisability of granting credit.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current, historical, and projected financial trends and repayment capacity for a variety of operating companies.
• Research and assess credit risk factors.
• Recommend loan structure, pricing, and additional credit facilities available for upsell to the lender.
• Develop alternative solutions to complex credit portfolios.
• Prepare, spread, and analyze tax returns and a variety of financial statements.
• Adhere to all CorTrust policies and handbooks, complete required security and regulatory training, and maintain customer privacy and confidentiality.
• Partner with the Credit Analyst Manager to prepare and present content and analysis to Loan Officers and Loan Committee for use in loan decisioning.
• Maintain a strong understanding of financial services and industry workflows to mitigate risks and achieve results.
• Communicate clearly and informatively across a diverse audience and present numerical data effectively and informatively.
• Respond positively to other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal banking regulations and industry workflow is required.
• Experience in analyzing financial statements and/or tax returns is a plus.
• A degree in finance or accounting is preferred, but not required.
