About the role
The RedBuilt Credit Department assesses risk, secures statutory lien/bond rights, and facilitates collection of outstanding accounts receivable. Successful implementation turns sales into cash and minimizes the risk of bad debts.
Responsibilities
- Perform key Credit Analyst responsibilities which include filing preliminary lien notices, lien waivers, billing paperwork, and supporting administrative tasks
- Evaluation and approval of credit/project information up to a designated credit limit
- Research and resolve customer credit inquiries
- Collection of outstanding accounts receivable while protecting lien rights
- Serve as a subject matter expert for credit policies, lien rights, and collection practices
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of credit procedures
- Participate in cross-functional discussions related to customer risk, disputed accounts, or process improvements
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of credit approval, invoicing, payment processing, collection, and cash application procedures
- Solid understanding of lien laws and legal aspects of construction finance
- Demonstrated business acumen with an understanding of how credit decisions impact cash flow, sales, and customer relationships
- Excellent communicator who partners effectively with sales personnel, external customers, general contractors, project owners and lenders
- Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, and confidence in handling sensitive or high stakes credit matters with both internal and external stakeholders
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and accommodate competing priorities
- Self-directed, with a proactive mindset toward process improvement and collaboration
- Interest and aptitude in expanding knowledge of credit policy, risk management, and construction finance trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and other related computer applications
- NetSuite experience a plus and/or proven ability to adapt easily to new ERP software

Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years credit/collection experience
- Construction Industry knowledge or experience, particularly with construction financing, draw schedules, progress payments, and lien rights
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field a plus, or additional equivalent experience

Job Requirements

- Pay: $62k - $80k Annually DOE; Paid Hourly and Overtime Eligible as a Non-Exempt position
