Credit Analyst III

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive commercial underwriting and credit analysis for new and existing loan relationships.
• Support commercial underwriting by inputting customer information into the loan system (i.e. Abrigo).
• Spread business and personal financial statements and prepare financial analysis.
• Prepare appropriate cash flow analysis to determine a borrower’s ability to service debt obligations.
• Independently calculate borrower financial covenants for compliance with loan agreements.
• Prepare various reports that support management reporting and tracking.
• Work with Commercial Portfolio Managers to understand client requests and/or current financial performance.
• Attend loan department and other committee meetings.
• Independently research and analyze company, industry, and economic data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of credit analysis and underwriting experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of cash flow, TVM, ordering and reviewing commercial appraisals, useful life of collateral, loan structure, and other banking standard underwriting metrics.
• Ability to independently analyze and underwrite complex credit relationships.
• Ability to research and understand commercial and commercial real estate lending and banking regulations.
• Ability to deal effectively with customers and all levels of the bank organization.
