We provide customers with products and value-added solutions within Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Repair.
This role involves establishing, reviewing, and maintaining credit lines for new and existing customers to limit the company’s exposure while supporting sales. You will release orders to qualified customers, communicate with sales when criteria aren’t met, contact customers regarding past-due balances, and assist in resolving invoice problems. The position focuses on maintaining or improving aging and DSO targets while growing sales profitably.
Responsibilities
- Contact customers regarding past-due balances
- Research and resolve problems and disputes
- Establish and maintain credit lines on accounts
- Review and release orders on hold
- Compile data for mid-month and month-end reports for management
- Analyze assigned customer account orders every 2 hours daily for review/release or ship approval; ensure timely resolution of credit-held orders to meet on-time delivery
- Facilitate accounts receivable collection techniques (telephone, emails, written communication) with assigned territory accounts and initiate follow-up action as necessary
- Initiate and complete the first phase of the credit extension process for new and existing accounts by collecting trade payment and financial information; perform initial customer analysis to determine credit limits and reassess limits on a rolling yearly basis
- Ensure timely collection and maintain the integrity of company accounts receivable
- Audit short/overpays and disputes to resolution
- Prepare reports for monthly reporting and participate in calls with sales leaders
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Proficient in reading financial reports and D&B reports
- Working knowledge of business and credit law
- General accounting knowledge
- NACM credential preferred
