Credit Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Review credit applications for completeness and consistency with internal policies, and follow up with the Front Office as needed.
• Perform impartial analysis of the borrower, group, and transaction structure based on term sheets, market studies, financial models, legal due diligence, and research.
• Prepare comprehensive credit reviews and risk opinions, including financial statement analysis, industry discussion, valuation, and other metrics in alignment with credit risk policies and procedures.
• Review and prepare internal rating models, making corrections as needed.
• Draft RPC Opinions and meet deadlines responsibly.
• Make recommendations in consultation with the Sector Credit Officer regarding exposure, ratings, and structure.
• Verify the accuracy of data in internal risk systems.
• Complete timely updates to all internal risk systems.
• Cook up with international offices on credit proposals and analyses.
• Respond to requests from Loan Review and internal and external auditors.
• Complete special assignments and ad hoc projects as requested.
• Serve as a back-up analyst for files in other teams and sectors as needed.

Job Requirements

• 5 years of credit or finance experience, preferably at a bank or rating agency.
