About the role
The Credit Analyst will perform independent analysis of commercial customer accounts, manage customer credit holds, and ensure compliance with company credit policies. This position requires strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to work cross-functionally to balance risk management with customer service objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer financial information and credit profiles to establish and maintain credit limits and payment terms
- Partner with Sales and Customer Service teams to support customer onboarding and ongoing credit management
- Review, approve, and maintain customer credit accounts and master file information
- Conduct periodic credit reviews of active customer accounts and recommend adjustments to credit terms and limits as needed
- Manage customer credit holds, including evaluating account status and releasing or applying holds in accordance with company policies
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and financial information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis, credit review, or corporate credit experience
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and customer credit management
- Experience establishing and monitoring credit limits, terms, and account exposure
- Ability to interpret financial data and make sound credit recommendations
- Experience working with ERP systems, accounting software, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
