About the role
The Credit Analyst is responsible for the review of all credit documentation pertaining to loans, including analyzing financial statements and periodic review of credit quality.
Responsibilities
- Review all financial information received as part of various credit requests/reviews. Responsible for data entry and spreads of financial statements, completion of credit analysis presentations, and assignment of risk rating
- Complete annual reviews of files over specified dollar limits, as requested by management, noting such things as collateral value, credit ratios and current information
- Complete collateral inspections for construction projects and floor plans
- Order of real estate appraisals and completion of real estate internal evaluations
- Order of environmental prescreens
- Assessment of compliance to loan policy of credit requests
- Valid state driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to complete collateral inspections for construction projects and floor plans
- Adherence to schedule in a structured work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, related field or equivalent relevant work experience
- 2 -3 years bank credit analyst experience with a financial institution required or equivalent experience in a financial institution
- Must be PC proficient in various software applications including financials spreading and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and written and oral communication skills are required
- Must be attentive to detail, accurate, self-motivated, flexible, organized and able to work under pressure
- Complete assigned duties within required deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a pressure environment with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels
- P Practices high degree of professionalism and maintains satisfactory attendance within policy guidelines and is punctual
Skills
