Responsibilities

  • Tracks and gathers required collateral information
  • Tracks and analyzes collateral availability and customer trends and prepares management reports according to established department policies and procedures and legal/regulatory guidelines
  • Prompts identification of over-advance situations or collateral discrepancies and escalates appropriately for prompt and accurate resolution
  • Refers and validates key loan and collateral terms against important source documentation including the loan agreement, field examination documentation, internal credit approval documentation, and underwriting/credit policy references
  • Develops/constructs a Borrowing Base Report template specific to particular loan/collateral structures
  • Trains new hires in the area of credit administration
  • Translates all credit presentations and legal contracts as required
  • Maintains Relationship Managers aware of renewals and maturities
  • Monitors and controls of lines of credit
  • Drafts committee minutes
  • Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintains relationships with clients
  • Assists in audits
  • Prepares, manages, and controls of electronic customer files and documentation
  • Open, deletes, and renews credit lines and collateral on the AS 400 (bank’s core processing system)
  • Collaborates with the Relationship Manager in the gathering of clients’ financial information for timely preparation of all underwriting and portfolio servicing assignments, including but not limited to annual loan review and covenant testing
  • Absolutely understands, speaks, reads and writes English and Spanish
  • Effectively speaks before groups of customers or employees
  • Assumes evolving duties and responsibilities of position
  • Works all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
  • Provides coverage for other positions as requested
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers
  • Fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint at intermediate level
  • The ability to operate AS400 preferred, but not required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field preferred
  • One to three years of experience is required in a Credit Administration or similar banking/lending role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Asset Based Lending (ABL) products/services and offerings
  • Experience in Commercial and Industrial (C&I) lending, particularly those involving owner-occupied Real Estate
  • General knowledge of credit & collateral analysis techniques
