Overview

Works under the direct supervision of the Medical Staff Coordinator. Primary responsibility is the processing of applications for appointment and/or clinical privileges within Riverside Health. Also responsible for ensuring the credentialing data is up-to-date, tracking expirations for renewal, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and processing of affiliation verification requests.

What You Will Do

  • Completes, submits and follows up on the initial applications and reappointment applications with the applicants timely.
  • Updates information in the credentialing database and makes it available on an as needed basis.
  • Maintains and updates appropriate databases for credentialed providers.
  • Maintains all accessed information in a confidential manner.
  • Notifies providers of regulatory documents (expirables) needed for maintenance of data base and credential files as appropriate to their responsibilities.
  • Ongoing review of all applications processed to ensure compliance with credentialing standards.
  • Responds to and sends requests for external affiliation verifications in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Provider Credentialing (Preferred).
  • Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) (Preferred).
