Credentialing Specialist

About the role

Dermatology Clinic seeks a friendly Credentialing Specialist to manage the privileging, enrollment, and re-verification process for medical providers.

Responsibilities

• Cookbook new practice/provider onboarding to ensure timely activation to payer contracts.
• Review provider documents for accuracy and manage network provider rosters.
• Resolve network provider issues related to contracting, billing, and attribution.
• Maintain network records and documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date provider data in credentialing databases and ensure timely renewal of licenses/certifications.
• Work with hospitals and health plans for provider appointments.
• Interact with patients and staff in a professional manner that promotes the values of our clinic and fosters teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a physician's office or healthcare credentialing role.
• Experience with NPPES, Credentialing Software, CAQH and PECOS is a plus.
• Excellent data entry and auditing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Great customer service.
• Time management.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records.
• Organization.
• HIPAA compliance.
