About the Role
The Credentialing Assistant supports the Credentialing Manager in processing physician and ancillary staff applications and maintaining renewal requirements for Rothman Institute.
Responsibilities
- Assists with processing applications to obtain privileges at hospitals and surgery centers for Rothman Orthopaedics physicians and APP staff.
- Maintains individual files for Rothman Orthopaedics physicians, physician assistants, and CRNPs, including required credentialing information.
- Communicates frequently with facility staff to meet expectations for staff appointment and reappointment.
- Provides consistent and timely follow-up with healthcare facilities on all submitted applications and requests.
- Develops and updates physician participation grids for scheduling.
- Updates all staff on new physician approvals as they become available.
- Applies for all providers' malpractice insurance.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- One year of experience with medical staff credentialing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- CPCS certification.
- Experience with medical office operations and medical terminology.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Training: 4 weeks on-site.
- Post-training: 4 days remote, 1 day on-site (Tuesdays).
Pay
Pay range: $19.00/hr - $23.00/hr, based on candidate's years of direct experience.
