About the role

Think Together’s Credentialed Teachers deliver required academic and enrichment activities while relieving teachers from their classroom to attend Data Reflection, Professional Development sessions, or other meetings/trainings required by the school or district. You will oversee daily program activities as part of a 3-4 person team serving 20-25 students per team member. In collaboration with the Lead Credentialed Teacher, you will develop benchmarks, agendas, and trainings to ensure all customers’ needs are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic and enrichment activities/content to meet minimum education minute/time requirements set by the California Department of Education.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Program Leaders (non-credentialed teachers).
  • Coordinate with team members to reinforce physical education activities and help students practice and build upon existing and newly acquired skills.
  • Ensure a positive student experience in cooperation with Program Leaders.
  • Complete, record, and manage attendance, assessment, and other required records.
  • Work with the program supervisor and Lead Credentialed Teacher to meet contract compliances and deliverables.
  • Communicate regularly with school administrators and staff regarding program activities.
  • Supervise, train, and develop subordinates in line with organizational objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend meetings to support continuous program improvement.
  • Instruct students in grades TK-6th, create lesson plans, differentiate instruction, and evaluate student assessment data to assess progress.
  • Implement teaching methods and strategies to develop students’ cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities while fostering fun and educational habits.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to maintain balance between students’ emotional and physical stability and growth.
  • Collaborate with other teachers (e.g., in class discussions or parent-teacher conferences).
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Develop an appropriate curriculum based on students’ abilities and background information.
  • Manage other duties as assigned while maintaining confidentiality in student, staff, and management matters.

Requirements

  • Valid and clear teaching credential issued by the State of California allowing substitute teaching of multiple subjects in an elementary school setting.
  • Approval from the school district confirming the credential meets local requirements.
  • Currently an employee of the school district or clear DOJ and FBI fingerprints through Think Together, with proof of negative TB test.
  • CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (30-day emergency credential accepted).
  • CBEST, CSET, or RICA passed test results preferred (in-progress accepted).
  • 0–2 years of proven experience in the education industry.

Pay

$65.00 per hour.
