Credentialed Medical Assistant/LPN-OBGYN

Responsibilities

• Aids in delivering patient care duties
• Assists in examination and treatment of patients
• Performs miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the provider
• Interviews patients
• Makes measurements of vital signs
• Records information in patients’ charts
• Prepares treatment rooms for examinations of patients

Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT)
• Completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning
• Successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
• Examples of medical assistants who are not certified/registered at the time of hire will be restricted from administering medication and entering Epic orders until the required credentials are obtained and verified

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
• One year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred
• Women’s Health experience highly preferred
• Practical knowledge in examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion preferred
• Experience with use of electronic medical records preferred
