About the role

The Creative Programming & Integration Specialist at the ARC of the Greater Hudson Valley is responsible for implementing meaningful, person-centered community integration opportunities tailored to individual interests and goals. This role also involves developing and coordinating inclusive large-scale special events that encourage participation from both program sites and the broader community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate inclusive large-scale special events that encourage participation from both program sites and the broader community.
• Lead the development of a Day Habilitation newsletter, ensuring representation of all three counties and highlighting achievements, success stories, and creative contributions of individuals.
• Carry out various creative activities for people supported.
• Train DSPs on new and innovative creative activities.

Requirements

• Valid driver license with minimum driving experience of one year.
• Must be able to travel between sites in the 3 Counties.
• 3+ years' experience working with people with disabilities, advance education in place of experience in the field acceptable.
• Basic English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and knowing arithmetic and mathematical concepts with which to adequately and effectively perform job duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to negotiate, exercise leadership, work with a diverse population, teach new skills, serve individuals, and participate as a team member.
• Ability to understand, interpret, convey, and implement instructions and directions.

Shift and Salary

Full-time, 40 hours a week, $18.25 per hour; Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and 401(K).
