Creative Intern – Art Director

Location(s): Columbia, S.C., Charleston, S.C., or Charlotte, N.C.

About the role

The Chernoff Newman internship program aims to offer a well-rounded experience that includes a deep dive into agency life. Interns are immersed in client and agency business work, contributing meaningfully rather than performing menial tasks. The program offers three internships each year in the fall, spring, and summer semesters, aligning with the applicant’s schedule. This in-person role is based in the Columbia, Charleston, or Charlotte office.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with comps and other design needs (Creative Cloud experience required)
• Concepting (idea development and brainstorming sessions)
• Art direction support/shadowing with agency Art Directors
• Attending internal meetings (briefings, brainstorming sessions, reviews)

Requirements

• An interest in marketing/advertising, a related degree, and/or a portfolio of work
• Curiosity and a collaborative spirit

Pay

$12/hour

Schedule

15–20 hours per week
